WWII Japanese Type 94 Canteen, Showa 18, 1943, Late War Harness,

Description

WWII Japanese Army Type 94 pattern canteen that has around 95% mustard brown paint. Canteen body is maker marked on the bottom and Showa dated 1943. Harness is the late war variety without the lower horizontal band. Another feature of late war harnesses is that that the shoulder harness is non adjustable. Made in one length only. There is Kanji scratched on the front of the canteen body, most likely the soldiers name, I don't have a translation for it.  Ink stamps on harness are very faded, you almost cant see them. This canteen has the Type 3 rubber stopper, top half is slightly hard/crusty, lower half is still slightly soft.
