    Description

War time souvenir from the Pacific Theatre.
This is an equipment box that carried a piece of field equipment for the Japanese Army.
The box is wood with white metal latches, hinges and handles as well as a plaque on the front that must say what was in it.
the lid has a leather strap to hold it in place when open.
There is a blue label on the inside of lid in Japanese that probably is a part list.
There is also the remainder of a mailing label that mentions it was owned by a Marine Staff Sergeant.
The label used to be taped to the box and there is a lot of tape residue as seen in the photos.
    21..3" x 10.6" x 8.5"
I do not have a key for this and had to use a butter knife to jimmy the lock.
This would be very nice restored.
Cool addition to your WW2 collection
