    Description

    Japanese occupation currency
    The Korean yen was the currency of Korea between 1910 and 1945.  It was equivalent to the Japanese yen and consisted of Japanese currency and banknotes issued by Japan specifically for Korea.
    Obverse: Imperial Seal of Japan (kikukamon) - a stylised chrysanthemum blossom.
    Main prayer hall (haiden) of the Kitano Tenman-gu Shinto shrine (built in 947) in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto (left).
